Published installers do not include Intel Mac or native Windows ARM builds. - Displays: a physical camera notch is not required; Syllo can draw one on supported computers and external displays and can use multiple monitors. - Pricing: $4.99 monthly, $25 every six months or $50 yearly. Every plan includes all Syllo tools and updates, and access on one computer at a time. The first payment has a 14-day refund period. - Getting it: the download is free, but the app needs a Syllo account and a plan to run; there is no free trial. Installers are at https://trysyllo.app/download/ with SHA-256 checksums. They are not yet code-signed by Microsoft or notarized by Apple, so Windows SmartScreen and macOS Gatekeeper ask before the first open; app updates are verified with Syllo's own signing key. - Main tools: music controls, file shelf, local file conversion and compression, formatted clipboard history, scrolling screenshots, an annotation editor, screen recording and Studio, window snapping, launcher, notes, timers, calendar and supported coding-agent integrations. - AI tools: live activity and supported permission requests from Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and other supported agents; an agent launcher using the user's own login; a local MCP server for supported AI apps while Syllo is open and signed in. AI provider subscriptions are separate from the Syllo subscription. - Local processing: file conversion runs on the computer. Third-party storage, sharing, connected calendars and AI providers are separate optional connections; do not describe the entire service as offline. - Capture limits: screen recordings on Windows can use computer or microphone audio; the Mac recording path uses microphone audio. - Scope: Syllo draws a desktop panel. It does not install Apple's iPhone Dynamic Island software on a PC or Mac. ## Choosing a notch app by use case - [Best Dynamic Island and notch apps for Windows](https://trysyllo.app/best-notch-apps-windows/): Windows 10 and 11 notch apps compared on platform, price and features, with a pick for each need and when another app is the better choice; The installers aren't signed with a Microsoft certificate or notarized by Apple, so Windows and macOS ask before opening them the first time. That's expected. Only continue for a file you downloaded from this page, and check its checksum (https://trysyllo.app/download/#check) if you want to be sure it's the real one. Updates after that are different: each one is checked against Syllo's own signing key before it installs. #### Install it. What you'll see the first time, step by step. ##### On Windows - Open the downloaded file. If your browser says it isn't commonly downloaded, choose Keep. - If a blue Windows protected your PC box appears, click More info. Check the app name starts with windows-x86_64- and ends in Syllo_…_x64-setup.exe, then click Run anyway. It says "Unknown publisher" because the installer isn't signed. - Follow the installer. If Microsoft Edge WebView2 is missing, it adds it (Windows 11 already has it). - Syllo starts and its notch appears at the top of your screen. ##### On a Mac - Open the .dmg and drag Syllo into Applications. - Open Syllo from Applications. macOS says it can't verify the app: click Done. - Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security and click Open Anyway next to Syllo, then confirm with your password. On macOS 14 or earlier you can instead Control-click Syllo in Applications and choose Open. - Allow Accessibility, Screen Recording and the other permissions only for the tools you use. The welcome tour asks for each one when it's needed. Something else on screen? Write to support (https://trysyllo.app/support/) with what it says, and don't continue. #### Then sign in. Syllo needs an account and a plan to run. Already subscribed? Sign in and you're done. - Sign inSign in with Google or your email. New here? You can create an account (https://trysyllo.app/account/?mode=signup) first. - Choose a plan$4.99 a month, $25 for 6 months or $50 a year, all with every tool. See Pricing (https://trysyllo.app/pricing/). - Make it yoursPick your tabs, shortcuts and look in Settings. The docs (https://trysyllo.app/docs/) cover every tool. #### Check the file Compare the installer's SHA-256 checksum with the one here. If they differ, delete the file and download it again from this page. WindowsShown when the download is available macOSShown when the download is available On Windows, run Get-FileHash followed by the file's path in PowerShell. On a Mac, run shasum -a 256 followed by the file's path in Terminal (you can drag the file into the window to add its path). #### System requirements Windows64-bit Windows 10 or 11 on an x64 PC. No build for Windows on Arm. macOSAn Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or later). No build for Intel Macs. DisplayAny. Syllo draws its own notch where the screen has none. AccountA Syllo account and a plan, on one computer at a time InternetTo sign in and check your plan. It keeps working offline for up to a week. #### Updates Syllo updates itself. Open Settings → Updates to check now or to choose when updates install. Every update is checked against Syllo's signing key before it installs, so only updates published by Syllo can install. #### Uninstall Windows: Settings → Apps → Installed apps, then Syllo → Uninstall. Mac: quit Syllo, then drag it from Applications to the Trash. Uninstalling doesn't cancel your plan; do that from your dashboard (https://trysyllo.app/dashboard/subscriptions/). #### Download questions. More in the Help Center (https://trysyllo.app/help-center/#installation). Is Syllo free to download? Yes. Downloading and installing are free, but Syllo needs a Syllo account and a plan to run: $4.99 a month, $25 for 6 months or $50 a year. Your first payment can be refunded within 14 days. Why does Windows say "Windows protected your PC"? Syllo's installer isn't signed with a Microsoft code-signing certificate yet, so SmartScreen shows it as from an unknown publisher. Click More info, check the file name is the Syllo installer you downloaded from trysyllo.app, then click Run anyway. Why does my Mac say it can't verify Syllo? Syllo isn't notarized by Apple yet. Click Done, then open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to Syllo. On macOS 14 or earlier, Control-click Syllo in Applications and choose Open. Does Syllo run on Intel Macs or Windows on Arm? No. Syllo runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 on x64 PCs and on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later). Do I need administrator rights to install it? Not on Windows: Syllo installs for your user account only. On a Mac you drag it into Applications as usual. How do I update Syllo? It updates itself. Open Settings → Updates to check now. Each update is checked against Syllo's signing key before it installs. --- ## Syllo Help Center | Setup, Installation and Troubleshooting Source: https://trysyllo.app/help-center/ ### How can we help? Answers to the questions people ask most. For how each tool works, the docs (https://trysyllo.app/docs/) go deeper. Search the answers #### Getting started. An account, the app and a plan. How do I create an account? Go to trysyllo.app/account (https://trysyllo.app/account/?mode=signup) and sign up with Google, or with your email address and a password of at least 12 characters. If you use email, open the verification link Syllo sends you and enter your password again. What do I do after signing up? Install Syllo from the Download page (https://trysyllo.app/download/) and sign in with the same account. Then open Settings to choose your tabs, widgets and shortcuts. Does an account include a plan? No. An account on its own doesn't unlock the app. Choose a plan on Pricing (https://trysyllo.app/pricing/) or in your dashboard (https://trysyllo.app/dashboard/subscriptions/). #### Installing Syllo. Windows 10 and 11 on x64, and Apple Silicon Macs. Where do I get the installer? Only from the Download page (https://trysyllo.app/download/). Windows builds are x64; Mac builds are for Apple Silicon (M1 or later). Why does my computer warn me when I open it? Syllo's installers aren't code-signed by Microsoft or notarized by Apple yet, so your computer asks before opening them the first time. Only continue for a file you downloaded from trysyllo.app, and compare its SHA-256 checksum (https://trysyllo.app/download/#check) if you want to be sure. Never bypass these warnings for files from anywhere else. “Windows protected your PC” appeared. What now? Click More info, check the file is the Syllo installer, then Run anyway. Syllo installs for your user account, so it doesn't need an administrator password. My Mac says it can't verify Syllo. Click Done, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway next to Syllo. On macOS 14 or earlier, Control-click Syllo in Applications and choose Open. How do I update Syllo? It updates itself. Open Settings → Updates to check now. Each update is checked against Syllo's signing key before it installs. How do I uninstall it? On Windows, use Settings → Apps → Installed apps. On a Mac, quit Syllo and drag it to the Trash. Uninstalling doesn't cancel your plan; do that from your dashboard. #### Using Syllo. The docs (https://trysyllo.app/docs/) have a page for every tool. Why does a tool ask for a permission? Some tools need Accessibility, Screen Recording, notifications or automation to work. Syllo asks for each one only when you first use the tool that needs it. Allow only what you use; Settings → Permissions shows what's allowed. Which music players work with Now Playing? Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music, and on Windows anything that shows in the system media controls. Which coding agents show in the notch? Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and the others listed in Settings → Coding agents. They use your own sign-ins, so you don't need an API key. Can I change the shortcuts? Yes. Every shortcut can be changed or cleared in Settings → Shortcuts & tabs, and the launcher's in Settings → Launcher. Are my files uploaded when I convert them? No. Conversions, compression and background removal run on your computer. A file only leaves it when you send it to Google Drive, Dropbox or LocalSend. #### Plans and billing. More on the Pricing (https://trysyllo.app/pricing/) page. How much does Syllo cost? $4.99 a month, $25 every 6 months or $50 a year. Each includes every tool and update. Any VAT or sales tax is added at checkout. There's no free trial. How do I cancel? Open Manage billing on your Subscription page (https://trysyllo.app/dashboard/subscriptions/) or in your Whop account. You keep Syllo until the end of the period you've paid for. Can I get a refund? Your first payment can be refunded in full within 14 days: email support@trysyllo.app from the address you paid with. Renewals aren't refunded except as the Terms (https://trysyllo.app/terms/#terms-refunds) describe. How many computers can I use? One at a time, Windows or Mac. Signing in on another computer signs the first one out. I paid, but Syllo still says I need a plan. Activation can take a minute while your bank confirms. Sign out and back in on your computer, then contact support (https://trysyllo.app/support/) if it's still locked. #### Something's wrong. Settings → Troubleshooting in the app checks what works on your computer. I didn't get a verification email. Check spam, then sign up again with the same email to get a fresh link. I forgot my password. Use account recovery (https://trysyllo.app/account/recover/) from the sign-in page. I signed up with Google and need a password. For example to change your email or delete the account: use account recovery (https://trysyllo.app/account/recover/) with your Google address to set one. Syllo signed me out on one computer. An account is used on one computer at a time, so signing in elsewhere signs the other one out. Sign in again where you want to use it. Message pop-ups from WhatsApp or Discord don't show. Open Settings → Troubleshooting. It shows whether notifications reach Syllo and what to turn on in your system settings. No answers match that. Try fewer words, or ask support (https://trysyllo.app/support/). #### Still stuck? Write to support. A person reads every message. Effective 19 October 2026Updated 30 October 20268 min read The short versionSyllo processes your clipboard history, messages, calendar and agent activity on your computer. Our servers hold account and subscription records, support requests, and crash reports if you turn on sharing. We don't sell your data or run ads. The website counts visits with its own cookie-free analytics, which store no IP address and can't follow you from one day to the next. - Stays on your deviceClipboard, files, messages, calendar and agent activity are processed on your computer. - Only what’s neededOur servers hold account records and data you choose to share. - No ads, no trackingWe don’t sell your data, run ads, or use analytics or tracking. - You’re in controlChange your email or password, or delete your account, from Profile. #### Who we are ##### The operator Syllo, the Syllo website at trysyllo.app and the Syllo desktop app are operated by Ray, an independent developer based in the United Arab Emirates (“Syllo”, “we”, “us”). Syllo is not a registered company. For personal data handled by the website and account service, we are the data controller. ##### Contact Email support@trysyllo.app (mailto:support@trysyllo.app) or use the support form (https://trysyllo.app/support/) (choose “Privacy”). We reply within 30 days, and usually much sooner. ##### What this policy covers This policy covers the website, your Syllo account, billing, and the desktop app. Read it together with our Terms of Service (https://trysyllo.app/terms/). #### Information stored on our servers ##### Account Your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash (PHP password_hash) and are never visible to us. We also keep your account role, when the account was created, and when your email was verified. ##### Sign in with Google If you choose Continue with Google, Google tells us your name, your email address, whether Google has verified that address, and your Google account's ID. We keep the ID with your account so Google can sign you in again, and use the name and address as your account's. We don't receive your Google password, and we don't keep or use any other Google data for signing in. Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements. ##### Subscription Which plan you have, its status, start and end dates, the Whop membership reference, and Whop's link for managing your billing. We do not receive or store card numbers or bank details; payments are handled by Whop (see “Payments”). ##### Sessions and security A browser session cookie (syllo_session, strictly necessary, deleted when you close the browser), signed-in desktop app tokens (stored on our side only as a hash, valid for 30 days), one-time links for email verification, password reset, email change and account deletion (stored as hashes, valid for 30 minutes to 48 hours), and rate-limit records. Rate limits use a keyed hash of your IP address or email address, not the raw values, and are deleted after about two days. ##### Support and product updates If you contact support we store your email, category, subject and message. If you join the product updates list we store your email address and when you confirmed it. ##### Optional crash reports If you turn on Send crash reports in Settings → Diagnostics, we receive the app version, operating system and architecture, crash time, thread name, code location and panic message. Crash sharing is off by default and does not require an account. Our host also records the normal server logs described below. ##### Website analytics To see which pages and links lead people to Syllo, the website (not the app) records page views, clicks on the download buttons, the plan you pick, starting checkout and clicks on a few buttons. Each record holds the page, the day, the website that linked to you (its name only, like google.com), campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source) and a visitor code. The visitor code is a keyed hash of the day, your IP address and your browser's user agent: we never store the IP address or user agent, and the code changes every day, so visits can't be linked across days. No cookie or browser storage is used for this. When you open checkout while signed in, that visit is linked to your account so a purchase can be credited to the link that brought you; deleting your account removes that link. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is recorded. It runs on our own server; no analytics company receives it. ##### Server logs Our host (Namecheap) keeps standard web server logs, including IP address, browser user agent, requested page and time, for security and troubleshooting. When the app checks for updates, the same kind of request is logged. #### What the desktop app does on your computer Syllo's features work by reading information on your computer. Unless a feature below says otherwise, this data is processed and stored only on your device, in Syllo's own data folder or your operating system's secure credential store (Windows Credential Manager or macOS Keychain). It is not sent to us. ##### Everyday features - Clipboard history stores what you copy (text, links, images, file paths) locally so you can reuse it. You can turn it off or clear it in Settings. - Link previews: when you copy a web link, the app may fetch that page to show its title and image. That website sees a normal request from your computer. - File shelf and Nearby keep references to files you drop on the notch. Nearby sharing, if you turn it on, runs a temporary file-transfer page on your local network, protected by a random link. Transfers go directly between devices on your network, unencrypted, and nothing passes through our servers. - Media, system and activity readouts such as what's playing, volume, battery, network, drives, open ports and running timers are read from your system to show in the notch. - Lyrics, weather and currency: the song title and artist are sent to LRCLIB (lrclib.net) for lyrics, the location you choose is sent to Open-Meteo for weather, and exchange rates are fetched from open.er-api.com. ##### Calendars If you connect Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook or a CalDAV/iCloud calendar, the app signs in with that provider and reads and edits your events directly with that provider's servers. Sign-in tokens are kept in your system credential store. Syllo's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements. Your calendar data is used only to show and edit events in the app, is never sent to our servers, is never sold, and is never used for advertising or to train AI models. ##### Messages (Discord and WhatsApp) If you link Discord, the app signs in to Discord's website in a dedicated window and keeps your Discord session token in your system credential store. If you link WhatsApp, the app connects as a WhatsApp “linked device”, and its encryption keys are stored locally. Messages, contacts and media are cached in a local database on your computer so the notch can show and search them. Without a linked account, the app can instead read the WhatsApp and Discord notifications Windows already shows you. None of this message data is sent to us. These are unofficial integrations; read the risks in our Terms (https://trysyllo.app/terms/). ##### AI coding agents If you enable agent integrations, the app adds a small hook to supported tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Grok and Antigravity). The hook reports what an agent session is doing to the notch over a private local connection and lets you approve its requests from the notch. To show usage limits, the app reads the sign-in those tools have already saved on your computer and asks each tool's own provider (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI or OpenCode) for your current usage. Those credentials are used only for that request and never reach us. ##### Creator panel If you add a Stripe restricted key or Plausible key, it is kept in your system credential store and used only to read your stats from Stripe or Plausible. ##### Diagnostics The diagnostics report in Settings is created locally from your app version, operating system and feature status. You can choose to copy it and send it to support. The separate Send crash reports setting automatically sends waiting crash reports when you enable it and after the app starts while sharing remains on. Turn it off at any time to stop future automatic uploads. Crash reports contain the fields listed above; they do not intentionally include clipboard history, message history, calendar contents, files, passwords or session tokens. #### Why we use information - To provide the service (necessary for our contract with you): creating and securing your account, signing you in on the website and desktop app, checking your subscription, delivering updates, and answering support. - To keep Syllo secure (our legitimate interest): rate limiting, preventing abuse and fraud, and investigating security incidents. - To meet legal obligations: tax, accounting and responding to lawful requests. - With your consent: product and release emails, and optional crash reports used to diagnose and fix failures. You can withdraw consent at any time. We send account emails (verification, password reset, security notices and email-change alerts) because they are needed to run your account. We do not send marketing without consent. We do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. #### Who we share it with ##### Service providers - Namecheap hosts the website, account database and email delivery. - Whop runs checkout and subscription billing and receives the information you enter at checkout. We send Whop your Syllo account ID so your purchase attaches to the right account. - Google Fonts serves the website's fonts, so your browser connects to Google when you visit. ##### Providers you connect yourself Calendar and file-content requests, messaging, AI-agent, Stripe and Plausible connections go directly from your computer to those companies under their own privacy policies. When you connect Google or Dropbox, your browser returns to our website with a one-use authorization code, which is handed back to the desktop app. The app verifies the sign-in using PKCE. Google authorization-code exchanges and token refreshes pass through our account backend so the Google Web client secret can remain on the server; the application returns tokens to your desktop without saving or logging them. Dropbox token exchanges go directly to Dropbox. Access and refresh tokens are kept in your operating system’s secure credential store, and calendar data and file transfers go directly between your computer and the provider. ##### No selling, no advertising We do not sell or rent personal information, share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, or use it to train AI models. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a transfer of the Syllo product, in which case this policy continues to apply. #### Payments Purchases are processed by Whop and its payment partners, under Whop's privacy policy (https://whop.com/privacy/). From Whop we receive your membership status, plan, renewal dates, the email used at checkout, and a link to manage your billing. Card and bank details stay with Whop and its payment processors. #### International transfers We are based in the United Arab Emirates. Our hosting and providers may store data in other countries, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as the provider's contractual commitments. #### How long we keep it - Account and subscription records: while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account, sessions and one-time links are deleted right away. Billing records we must keep for tax or accounting are kept as long as the law requires (usually up to 5 years under UAE rules). - Unverified signups: expire after 48 hours. - Rate-limit records: about 2 days. - Website analytics: about 13 months, then deleted. - Support requests: up to 2 years after the request is closed. - Product updates list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you, or 12 months after you join, whichever comes first. - Webhook and payment event records: up to 2 years, for billing disputes. - Data on your computer stays until you clear it in Settings, unlink the integration, or uninstall Syllo and delete its data folder. #### Security We use HTTPS everywhere, hashed passwords and tokens, CSRF protection, strict server-side permission checks, rate limiting, signed app updates, and the operating system's secure storage for credentials on your computer. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires. #### Your rights ##### What you can ask for Depending on where you live (for example under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, the EU or UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws), you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. We give these rights to all users wherever we reasonably can. ##### Doing it yourself You can change your email and password, sign out of every device, and delete your account from Profile (https://trysyllo.app/dashboard/profile/). Cancel billing on Whop first. For anything else, email support@trysyllo.app (mailto:support@trysyllo.app). We may need to verify that the request comes from the account owner. ##### Complaints If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, contact us first. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. In the UAE this is the UAE Data Office. #### Children Syllo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. In countries that set a higher age for digital consent (up to 16 in parts of the EU), you must meet that age or have a parent's consent. When you create an account we ask for your date of birth only to check that you're old enough; it is never saved. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it. #### Changes to this policy If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and notify account holders by email or in the app before the change takes effect. The current version is always at trysyllo.app/privacy/. #### Questions about your data? Email us or use the support form and choose “Privacy”. We reply within 30 days, usually much sooner. support@trysyllo.app (mailto:support@trysyllo.app)Support form (https://trysyllo.app/support/) Also read the Terms of Service (https://trysyllo.app/terms/). --- ## Terms of Service · Syllo Source: https://trysyllo.app/terms/ ### Terms of Service Accounts, subscriptions through Whop, the 14-day refund, licence terms, third-party integrations, and UAE governing law. Effective 19 October 2026Updated 29 October 20267 min read The short versionSyllo is a paid desktop app. You need an account and an active subscription to use it. Billing goes through Whop. You can cancel anytime, and your first payment can be refunded within 14 days. Some integrations, such as Discord and WhatsApp, are unofficial and could put those accounts at risk. Please read that section. - Subscription requiredThe desktop app works while you’re signed in with an active subscription. - Cancel anytimeYou keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. - 14-day refundYour first payment for a plan can be refunded in full within 14 days. - Unofficial integrationsDiscord and WhatsApp links could put those accounts at risk. #### Agreement ##### Who you're dealing with These Terms are an agreement between you and Ray, the independent developer based in the United Arab Emirates who operates Syllo (“Syllo”, “we”, “us”). They cover the website at trysyllo.app, your Syllo account, subscriptions, and the Syllo desktop app (together, the “Service”). ##### Accepting these Terms By creating an account, buying a subscription, or installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (https://trysyllo.app/privacy/). If you don't agree, don't use the Service. ##### Age You must be at least 13, or the minimum age for digital services in your country if that's higher. If you're under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms for you and make any purchase. #### Your account ##### Registration Give accurate information, verify your email, and keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away at support@trysyllo.app (mailto:support@trysyllo.app) if you think someone else has accessed it, and use “Sign out everywhere” in your Profile. ##### One person per account An account and its subscription are for one person, signed in to the Syllo app on one computer at a time: signing in on another computer signs the first one out. Don't share your sign-in or resell access. #### Subscriptions and billing ##### A subscription is required The Syllo desktop app works only while you're signed in with an active Syllo subscription. Creating an account alone doesn't include access. If your subscription ends or a payment fails, the app stops working until you renew. ##### Plans and prices Plans, prices and billing periods are shown on the website and at checkout before you pay. Prices may not include taxes. Any VAT or sales tax that applies is calculated at checkout. ##### Payments through Whop Checkout and recurring billing are handled by Whop and its payment partners. When you pay, you also agree to Whop's terms (https://whop.com/tos/). We never see your full card details. ##### Automatic renewal Syllo offers three subscriptions: $4.99 billed monthly, $25 billed every 6 months, and $50 billed yearly. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of its billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel. Canceling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period. We'll give you notice before any price change applies to your renewal. ##### Cancelling You can cancel anytime from Manage billing in your dashboard or in your Whop account. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. #### Refunds ##### 14-day refund on your first purchase If you're not happy with Syllo, email support@trysyllo.app (mailto:support@trysyllo.app) within 14 days of your first subscription payment, using the email address you paid with, and we'll refund that payment in full. When the refund is issued, your subscription access ends. ##### Renewals Renewal payments (later months) aren't refundable, except where we made a billing error, where the Service was unavailable for a significant part of the paid period because of us, or where the law requires a refund. ##### How refunds are paid Refunds go back to the original payment method through Whop. Your bank may take several business days to show them. Opening a chargeback instead of contacting us first may suspend your account while it's resolved. ##### Your legal rights Nothing in these Terms limits refund or cancellation rights you have under the consumer law where you live. #### Licence to use Syllo ##### What you get While your subscription is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Syllo app on computers you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use. ##### What you may not do - Copy, resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app or your access to it. - Remove, bypass or tamper with sign-in, subscription or licence checks. - Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law allows it despite this restriction. - Use the Service to break the law, infringe others' rights, spread malware, or access accounts, devices or data you aren't authorised to access. - Interfere with the website or servers, probe them for vulnerabilities without permission, or overload them with automated requests. ##### Ownership Syllo, its software, design and branding belong to us and our licensors. Icons are used under their stated licences. Content you create or store with Syllo stays yours. #### Third-party integrations ##### Your connections, their rules Syllo can connect to services run by others, including Google and Microsoft calendars, CalDAV and iCloud, Discord, WhatsApp, AI coding tools (such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and Grok), Stripe, Plausible, LRCLIB and Open-Meteo. When you connect one, you use it under that company's own terms, and you're responsible for following them. We don't control these services and aren't responsible for them, for their availability, or for changes that break an integration. ##### Discord and WhatsApp: important risk The Discord and WhatsApp integrations are unofficial. They are not made, approved or supported by Discord or Meta. Discord's terms prohibit third-party clients from using user accounts, and WhatsApp may restrict accounts that use unofficial linked devices. Using these integrations could lead to restriction, suspension or loss of those accounts. Only turn them on if you accept that risk. You can use the notification-based mode, or not link them at all, instead. ##### AI agent approvals If you approve an AI agent's request from the notch (for example to run a command or edit files), it's the same as approving it in that tool. Check what you approve. We aren't responsible for actions you approve. #### Shared content and copyright ##### Only share what you're allowed to Anything you send through Syllo must only contain things you own or have permission to share. You keep the rights to what you share. ##### Reporting a copyright problem If you believe something shared through Syllo uses your work without permission, email copyright@trysyllo.app (mailto:copyright@trysyllo.app?subject=Copyright%20report) with the subject "Copyright report". Include the link or post, the work you own, your name and how to reach you, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't allowed and that your report is accurate. We'll remove or disable the content quickly and let the person who shared it know. If they believe it was removed by mistake, they can reply to us. ##### Repeat infringement We close accounts that keep sharing things they don't have the right to share. #### Updates and changes ##### App updates The app checks trysyllo.app for updates and installs only updates we've cryptographically signed. Some updates may be needed to keep using the Service or to fix security issues. ##### Changes to the Service We may add, change or remove features. If we remove a core feature or end the Service entirely, we'll give reasonable notice and refund the unused part of any prepaid period. ##### Changes to these Terms If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and tell account holders by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you don't agree, cancel before then. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new Terms. #### Suspension and termination You can stop using Syllo and delete your account at any time from your Profile (cancel billing first). We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms, commits fraud or chargeback abuse, or puts other users or the Service at risk. Where reasonable, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close your account without cause, we'll refund the unused part of your current paid period. #### Disclaimers We work hard to keep Syllo reliable, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and (b) US$50. These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or to your statutory consumer rights. #### Indemnity If you use the Service in a way that breaks these Terms or the law, and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows. #### Governing law and disputes ##### Talk to us first Most problems can be solved quickly. Install and use Syllo's Dynamic Island on Windows 10, Windows 11 and Apple Silicon Macs. Find setup steps and guides to each notch tool. For sign-in or billing problems, visit the Help Center (https://trysyllo.app/help-center/). WindowsWindows 10 and 11, 64-bit MacApple Silicon, M1 or later Plans$4.99 a month, $25 for 6 months, $50 a year ComputersOne at a time per account ##### How these pages are written Settings → Shelf means: open Syllo's Settings window and choose the Shelf page. Settings has a search field that finds single settings, so typing "hover delay" takes you to that switch. Shortcuts are written for Windows first. On the Mac, Ctrl becomes ⌘ and Alt becomes ⌥, except where a page says ⌃ (Control). These pages describe Syllo 1.2.0. Paying members can read what changed in each version in the changelog, in their dashboard. #### Install and sign in You need an account with a plan, and a Windows PC or Apple Silicon Mac. Setting up takes a few minutes. ##### 1. Create an account - Go to trysyllo.app/account (https://trysyllo.app/account/) and sign up with your email and a password of at least 12 characters. - Open the verification link Syllo emails you and enter your password again. - Choose a plan on Pricing (https://trysyllo.app/pricing/) or in your dashboard. An account without a plan can sign in to the website but can't use the app. ##### 2a. Install on Windows - Download the Windows installer from the Download page (https://trysyllo.app/download/). It is built for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11. - Run it. If Windows shows an unknown-publisher prompt, check that the file came from trysyllo.app before you continue. - Syllo starts when the installer finishes, and the notch appears at the top of your main display. ##### 2b. Install on a Mac - Download the macOS disk image from the Download page (https://trysyllo.app/download/). It runs on Apple Silicon (M1 or later). There is no Intel build. - Open it and drag Syllo into Applications, then open Syllo from Applications. - macOS asks for permissions, such as Accessibility or Screen Recording, the first time a tool needs one. Settings → Permissions lists them all and shows which are allowed. ##### 3. Sign in Open Syllo and choose Continue in your browser. Sign in on the page that opens, then come back to Syllo. Your account works on one computer at a time, so signing in on another computer signs the first one out. ##### Updates Syllo updates itself. To check now, or to switch to installing updates yourself, open Settings → Updates & about. Updates marked critical, such as security fixes, install even when you've chosen manual updates. ##### Moving to a new computer Settings → Updates & about can export your settings to a file and import them on the other computer. Then sign in there. #### Dynamic notch: how Syllo works Syllo's dynamic notch is a desktop panel for Windows and Mac. Closed, it's a small black shape at the top centre of the screen that widens to show what's happening. Open, it's a panel with tabs for each tool. ##### What the closed notch shows These are live activities. The closed notch shows one at a time and grows just enough to fit it: - the song that's playing, with its artwork and a waveform - a focus timer or countdown - a coding agent that's working, finished or waiting for you - Si listening or speaking - downloads, new screenshots, charging, a call or meeting, and CPU or memory readings Choose which ones appear in Settings → Live activities. Settings → Shortcuts & tabs decides which one wins when several are happening at once. ##### Opening it - Move the pointer onto the notch. Settings → General sets how long it waits (the hover delay). - Click it, or press CtrlAltN. - If the notch is hidden, hold the pointer at the top edge of the screen and drag down. ##### Tabs and Home The open notch has tabs along the top: Home, Music, Files, Clipboard, Capture, Si, Agents and the rest of the tools you have switched on. Home holds tiles, such as the next meeting, the timer, the Shelf and agent usage, that you arrange yourself. - Change the tab order in Settings → Shortcuts & tabs. - Switch whole tools off in Settings → Features. Their tabs and tiles disappear. ##### Where it shows, and when it hides - Settings → General puts the notch on your main display or on every display. - It hides in full-screen apps by default, and can also hide in apps you choose, such as games. - Auto hide keeps it out of sight until you reach for the top edge. ##### How it looks Settings → Notch style changes the shape, size, corner roundness, motion and Liquid Glass. Settings → Appearance sets the theme and colours, including colours taken from your wallpaper and the Sea glass tints (Lagoon, Lilac, Rose, Amber and Mint). ##### Questions What is a dynamic notch? A dynamic notch is a small panel at the top of the screen that changes with what it shows. In Syllo a song brings up artwork and controls, a timer shows the time left, and an agent shows that it needs you. Open it for the full tools. Do I need a screen with a notch? No. Syllo draws its own notch on Windows PCs, on Macs without a camera cutout and on external displays. On a MacBook it fits around the camera. Is Syllo available for Linux? No. Syllo does not have a Linux build. Its Dynamic Island and notch tools run on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11 (x64) and Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later). #### Shortcuts The keys Syllo sets up for you. Every one can be changed or cleared. ##### Default shortcuts Action | Windows | Mac | Change it in | Open or close the notch | Ctrl Alt N | ⌘ ⌥ N | Shortcuts & tabs | Launcher | Ctrl Alt Space | ⌘ ⌥ Space | Launcher | Action Ring | Ctrl D | ⌃ D | Action Ring | Screenshot an area | Ctrl Shift 4 | ⌘ ⇧ 4 | Capture | Copy text off the screen | Ctrl Shift 2 | ⌘ ⇧ 2 | Capture | Arrange every window | Ctrl Alt S | ⌃ ⌥ S | Window Snap | Stop the working agent | Ctrl Alt Esc | Set your own | Shortcuts & tabs | Window Snap's shortcut works once Window Snap is switched on in Settings → Window Snap. ##### Shortcuts you can add These have no default, so they don't take keys from your other apps until you give them one: dictation, read aloud, talk to Si, Smart Paste, the emoji picker, the clipboard window, start or stop recording, capture a webpage, the window switcher and meeting mute. Notes and saved launcher commands can each have a shortcut of their own too. ##### The Hyper key Settings → Keyboard & mouse can turn Caps Lock into a Hyper key. Held down, it presses Ctrl Alt Shift Win together (⌃ ⌥ ⇧ ⌘ on the Mac), a combination no app uses, so your own shortcuts never clash. Tapped alone, it's Esc. #### Dynamic Island for Windows 10 and 11 Syllo draws a Dynamic Island-style notch at the top of your PC screen, with or without a camera cutout. It runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11. ##### Requirements - Windows 10 or 11 on a 64-bit (x64) PC. There is no build for Windows on Arm. - An account with a plan, used on one computer at a time. ##### What's specific to Windows - Now Playing for anything in the Windows media controls, including browser tabs, as well as Spotify, Apple Music and the YouTube Music app. See Now Playing (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#music-controls). - Share what you're listening to on Discord, with the artwork and the time left. - Clipboard history from Windows: import what Win+V or Ditto already holds. See Clipboard (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#clipboard-manager). - Messages: WhatsApp and Discord messages in the notch, with replies, set up in Settings → Messages. - Smooth scrolling for mouse wheels, mechanical keyboard sounds and app volume up to 200%, in Settings → Keyboard & mouse. ##### Several monitors Settings → General shows the notch on your main display or on every display. Window Snap arranges windows on all of them with one shortcut, and the window switcher groups open windows by display. ##### Questions Does Syllo work on Windows 10? Yes. Syllo runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11 (x64). The installer adds Microsoft Edge WebView2 if your PC doesn't already have it. Do I need a laptop with a notch or a camera cutout? No. Syllo draws its own notch, so it works on any Windows laptop or desktop monitor, with or without a camera cutout. Does Syllo hide in full-screen apps and games? Yes. The notch hides in full-screen apps by default, and you can also hide it in apps you choose, such as games. Auto hide keeps it out of sight until you reach for the top edge. Does Syllo run on Windows on Arm? No. There is no build for Windows on Arm yet, so Snapdragon PCs aren't supported. Syllo needs a 64-bit (x64) Intel or AMD PC. Which music apps show in the Windows notch? Spotify, Apple Music and the YouTube Music app get full controls. Anything else that appears in the Windows media controls shows too, including browser tabs, with the buttons that player supports. Is there a Dynamic Island for Windows? Yes. Syllo adds a Dynamic Island-style notch to the top of the screen on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11, on one monitor or all of them. Does Syllo work with Windows Snap layouts? Yes. Syllo's Window Snap is separate and can be left off. When it's on, one shortcut arranges every open window on every display into the layout you choose. #### A Dynamic Island and notch app for Mac Syllo adds music controls, a file shelf and live activities to the MacBook notch. On a Mac without a camera cutout, or an external display, it draws its own. Requires Apple Silicon (M1 or later). ##### Requirements - A Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or later). There is no Intel build. - Recording yourself or your Mac's sound alongside the screen needs macOS 13 or later. ##### What's specific to the Mac - Liquid Glass: the notch uses the Mac's own glass so it looks like part of the system. - Now Playing on the lock screen, with lyrics and controls. Apple Music's motion artwork plays in the notch, with Lossless, Hi-Res and Dolby Atmos badges, and Automix shows as two rings meeting when one song blends into the next. - Volume and brightness slide out of the notch when you press those keys, along with the keyboard backlight level. - iMessage conversations in the Messages tab, with replies sent from your Apple ID. - Apple Notes and Apple Calendar: keep notes in a Syllo folder in Apple Notes and see Apple Calendar events beside Google Calendar. - Menu bar readings from the System Monitor, and fan control (beta) within your Mac's limits. ##### Which Macs it works on Mac | How the notch appears | MacBook Air and MacBook Pro | Fits around the camera cutout in the menu bar | iMac, Mac mini and Mac Studio | Syllo draws its own notch at the top of the display | External displays | Drawn on your main display or on every connected display | Intel Macs | Not supported. Syllo needs Apple Silicon (M1 or later) | ##### Permissions macOS asks before Syllo can read the screen, control other windows or use Notes, Calendar, the microphone or the camera. Allow only what the tools you use need. Settings → Permissions shows each permission and opens the right System Settings page. ##### Questions Can I get a Dynamic Island on a Mac? Yes. Syllo turns the MacBook notch into a Dynamic Island-style panel on Apple Silicon Macs. It shows what's playing, a timer or a coding agent, and opens into your files, clipboard, screenshots, calendar and notes. Does it work on a Mac mini, iMac or Mac Studio? Yes. On a Mac without a camera cutout Syllo draws its own notch at the top of the screen. On a MacBook it fits around the camera. Does it work with Apple Music and Spotify? Yes. Spotify, Apple Music and the YouTube Music app get full controls. Apple Music also shows motion artwork and Lossless, Hi-Res and Dolby Atmos badges, and Now Playing can show on the lock screen with lyrics. Which Macs does Syllo run on? Macs with Apple Silicon, M1 or later, including MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, iMac and Mac Studio. There isn't a build for Intel Macs. Does it work on an external display? Yes. Syllo draws its own notch at the top of a display without a camera cutout, and can show one on each connected display. #### Now Playing The track that's playing, in the notch, with controls that work without bringing the player to the front. ##### Players that work Player | What you get | Spotify | Artwork, play, pause, skip and scrubbing, plus shuffle, repeat and like | Apple Music | The same controls. On the Mac, motion artwork and Lossless, Hi-Res and Dolby Atmos badges | YouTube Music app | The same controls, with shuffle, repeat and like | Anything else on Windows | Apps and browser tabs that show in the Windows media controls. Buttons depend on the player | Syllo controls your player. Your music service and its subscription stay separate. ##### Using it - Play something. The closed notch shows the artwork and a waveform. - Open the notch and choose Music for the scrubber, volume and the rest of the controls. - When several apps are playing, choose which one the notch follows. - Pop the player out into its own window and pick a pill, card or lyrics layout. Lyrics appear when the track has them. ##### If a track doesn't show Check that the player shows up in your system's media controls, and that the media feature is on in Settings → Features. Music you don't want in the notch can be excluded in Settings → Shortcuts & tabs. #### Shelf and sharing Drag a file to the top of the screen and keep it there while you switch apps. The original stays in its folder. ##### Dropping a file - Drag one or more files towards the top of the screen. Tiles drop out of the notch. - Let go on Shelf to keep the files, or on another tile to act on them straight away. - Later, open the notch, choose Files and drag the file into the app that needs it. Settings → Shelf chooses which tiles appear and in what order, up to eight: Shelf, Copy, Share, Delete, Transform, Zip, Remove background, LocalSend, Google Drive and Dropbox. ##### What stays on the Shelf - Pin a file to keep it. Unpinned files stay until you remove them, or clear after a day or a week. - Remove after drag takes a file off the Shelf once you've dragged it somewhere. - Add watched folders, such as Downloads, and Syllo offers new files for the Shelf as they arrive. The Shelf holds a reference to the file. If you move or delete the original outside Syllo, the Shelf can't bring it back. ##### Sending a file on Tile | Where the file goes | Copy or drag | Another app on this computer | Share | Your system's share options | LocalSend | A phone or computer on your network running LocalSend. Incoming files ask first | Google Drive, Dropbox | Your own account, with the link copied | #### Transform Convert and compress files by dropping them on the Transform tile. It all runs on your computer, and the new files land next to the originals. ##### Converting a file - Drag one or more files to the top of the screen and let go on Transform. - Choose what you want: smaller, another format, another size, or zipped. - The results appear beside the originals. Nothing is uploaded. ##### What it converts Drop | Get | Photos | Compressed or resized, or as JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. HEIC works too | Video | Smaller, or as MP4 or HEVC | Sound | MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC or ALAC | PDF | Compressed with the text still selectable, merged, as Word, as plain text, or as images | Word, Excel, PowerPoint | PDF | Anything | A zip | ##### Backgrounds and photo details - Remove background cuts the subject out of a photo on your computer. It's a drop tile, and it's also in the Clipboard and the screenshot editor. - Remove metadata strips the camera, location and date from photos before you send them. ##### Questions How do I convert HEIC to JPG? Drop the HEIC photos on the Transform tile and choose JPG. The JPGs appear next to the originals, on Windows and on the Mac. Are my files uploaded when I convert them? No. Transform runs on your computer. A file only leaves it when you choose Google Drive, Dropbox or LocalSend. #### Clipboard A history of what you copy, which pastes things back exactly as they were. It's in the Clipboard tab and in a window of its own. ##### What it keeps - Text, links, colours, pictures, videos, files and code, with a filter for each. - Formatting: a block copied from a document or a frame from a design app pastes back as itself. Choose Copy as plain text when you don't want that. - A full preview of each item, with character, word and line counts. ##### Finding things again - Search the history, or type # in the launcher to search it from anywhere. - Star favourites, rename items and add tags. Drag an item onto a tag to file it. - Drag any item straight into another app. ##### Smart Paste Smart Paste changes what you copied before pasting it: JSON formatted or minified, a slug, camelCase, links without tracking, sorted lines, Base64 and more. It can also ask an agent to rewrite it. Give it a shortcut in Settings → Shortcuts & tabs. ##### How much it remembers - Settings → Clipboard sets how many items to keep (or no limit) and for how long, from a day to three months. - Skip duplicates, pause the history, leave out apps you choose, or clear everything each time Syllo quits. - Text you copy off the screen with Syllo's text capture is kept out of clipboard histories. ##### Bringing your history Import from the Windows clipboard history (Win+V) or Ditto on Windows, and from Maccy or Alfred on the Mac. #### Capture and Studio Screenshots of anything on screen, an editor whose marks stay editable, screen recording, and Studio to finish recordings. ##### Taking a screenshot Press Ctrl Shift 4 for an area, or open the Capture tab for the rest: - Area, window or screen, picked on a frozen screen with a magnifier. Covered windows work too. - One element: point at a button, panel or menu and click. - Scrolling: pick what scrolls and Syllo scrolls it, joining the screens into one tall picture. Esc stops early. - Webpage: enter a URL, choose light or dark and a desktop, tablet, mobile or custom size, and capture the visible part or the whole page. A self-timer, your own file names and a save folder are in Settings → Capture. ##### The editor - Pen, highlighter, arrows, shapes, text, numbered steps, spotlight, magnifier, pixelate, blur and crop. - Every mark stays editable. Select one later to move, resize, recolour, duplicate or delete it, even after you reopen the capture. - Backgrounds: a gradient, your wallpaper, a blurred copy or a colour, with padding, rounded corners and a shadow. Save a style as a preset and add a text watermark. - Export a picture or an SVG, or drag the result into any app. ##### Text and QR codes Press Ctrl Shift 2 and drag over anything, including pictures and paused videos, to copy its text. QR codes are read the same way. ##### Recording - Record an area or a screen in H.264 or HEVC at 15, 30 or 60 fps. - Add the microphone, your computer's sound or both, and a presenter camera you can move or retime afterwards. On the Mac these need macOS 13 or later. ##### Studio - Trim on a timeline with a filmstrip. - Zoom towards your clicks, follow the pointer, and show the shortcuts you pressed as captions. - Add timed text, shapes, cursor styles, click sounds and perspective tilts. They stay editable, with undo. - Export MP4 or GIF at any speed, with or without sound. Open a still picture in Studio to animate it. ##### The image library Point the library at the folders where your screenshots and recordings live (Settings → Capture). After a one-time download of the recognition models, it finds text inside your images in many languages, and finds images from an English description. The launcher searches the same library. #### Launcher One search box for apps, files, settings, commands, notes, copied text and your images, with a second tab for talking to coding agents. ##### Opening it Press Ctrl Alt Space in any app. Record a different shortcut in Settings → Launcher. The launcher has two tabs, Search and Agent; press Tab to switch. ##### What Search finds - Apps, by initials, parts of words and typos. What you open often and recently comes first. - Files, system settings, Syllo's notes, past agent chats and your copied text. - Images, by what they show or the text in them, with a preview and the matching words highlighted. - Sums, units and currencies. Currency rates need an internet connection. Turn sources on or off in Settings → Launcher. ##### Prefixes Type | To search | > | Commands, such as Quit all apps or Eject all disks | # | Your clipboard history | : | Emoji | The tips button in the launcher lists them all. ##### Saved commands - Quick links open a web address and can take search words. - Snippets paste text and can fill in the date and time. - Scripts run, and their output appears in the launcher. Each has a name, aliases and its own optional global shortcut. Pin any result with Ctrl P so it shows before you type. Moving from another launcher? Syllo can read its local backup file, show you the quick links, snippets and notes inside, and bring them in without overwriting what you have. Extensions from other launchers don't run in Syllo. ##### What it learns When you open something, the launcher remembers the words you typed to find it and how often you use it. This stays on your computer. Forget in Settings → Launcher clears it. ##### The Agent tab Talk to Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, Qwen Code, Gemini CLI or Factory Droid with the sign-in they already have. Pick the model, reasoning effort and project folder, watch the reply and tool use stream in, and carry on later or in a terminal. See Coding agents (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#coding-agents). #### Si Si is Syllo's own assistant. Talk or type to it from the Si tab, and it runs notch actions, works with your coding agents and can do desktop tasks for you. ##### Setting it up - Open Settings → Si and choose where its model runs: Ollama, LM Studio, OpenAI, OpenRouter, Groq, Google Gemini or another compatible server. - Pick a model from the list the server offers and test that it answers. - Choose how Si hears you (below), then save. Models on your own computer through Ollama or LM Studio cost nothing to run. Online providers bill you directly. ##### Speech - Recognition: Windows offline or online speech, Apple Speech, or any Whisper-compatible service, including one on your own computer. - Choose the language, how long a pause ends what you're saying, and whether it sends at once or waits for you to check. - Hands-free mode listens again after Si answers. Test your microphone before saving. ##### Using it - Replies are formatted, and Si's steps fold into one line you can open. Stop ends a reply. - Prompt templates hold requests you make often. Spoken replies are optional. - Prefer a window to the notch? Choose it in Settings → Si. ##### PC worker (beta) With a vision model connected in Settings → Si, Si can look at the screen and use the mouse and keyboard to finish a desktop task. It doesn't need any coding tools. #### Coding agents See what your coding agents are doing from the notch, answer their permission requests there, and let AI apps use Syllo's tools through MCP. ##### Supported agents Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Antigravity, Factory Droid, Qwen Code, Pi and Grok Build show their activity in the notch. Syllo uses the sign-ins they already have. There are no API keys to add, and your AI plans stay separate from Syllo. ##### Connecting them - Open Settings → Coding agents. Agents found on this computer are listed first. - Switch on the ones you use, or choose Connect all. - Start a session in your terminal or editor as usual. It appears in the Agents tab. Syllo adds its hooks to each agent you switch on when it starts, and takes them out again when you quit, update or uninstall Syllo. ##### In the notch - The closed notch shows which agent is working and for how long, and tells you when it finishes, fails or is waiting for you. - When an agent asks before running something, Allow or Options appear in the notch. - The Agents tab lists sessions with errors, subagents, denied permissions and stopped turns. - A Home tile shows usage and cost, including extra Claude Code and Codex accounts. Syllo warns you once when a plan is about to run out. ##### Syllo for AI apps (MCP) Add Syllo to Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor and other MCP apps in one click from Settings → Coding agents. They can then show progress in the notch, read your clipboard history, add notes and reminders, start timers, read your calendar, control music, take screenshots, convert files and read the System Monitor. The connection runs on your computer and only while Syllo is open and signed in. Anything an AI app asks to stop needs your approval in Syllo first. ##### Questions How do I know when Claude Code has finished? Connect Claude Code in Settings → Coding agents. The notch then shows it working and tells you when it finishes or is waiting for you, so you don't have to keep checking the terminal. Do I need an API key for the coding agents? No. Syllo works with the agents you already use, signed in with your own account. Your AI plan and its usage stay separate from Syllo. #### Window Snap One shortcut puts every open window, on every display, into the layout you choose. Another puts them back. ##### Getting started - Open Settings → Window Snap and switch it on. - Pick a layout from its picture, or draw your own. - Press Ctrl Alt S (⌃ ⌥ S on the Mac) to arrange everything. ##### Layouts and rules - Give any layout a shortcut of its own, and set the spacing between windows. - Per-app rules keep an app in a certain place, floating, or out of the layout. - Restore puts every window back where it was. ##### Window controls Each of these has its own setting and optional shortcut: automatic arrangement, stacks, focus, No peek, Clean Space, swapping windows, floating windows, a primary window, resizing tiles and moving windows between displays. Syllo 1.1.0 replaced the old shortcuts that moved one window to a half, quarter or third of the screen. To move a window without clicking its title bar, use Settings → Keyboard & mouse. ##### The window switcher Give the switcher a shortcut and it lists open windows grouped by display. The selected one stays in view as you move through them with the keyboard. #### Focus timer A Pomodoro timer that counts down in the closed notch: 25 minutes of work and 5 of break unless you change them. ##### Starting a session - Open the timer in the notch and choose Focus or Break. - Set the minutes while the timer is stopped. Work and break lengths are kept separately. - Start it and go back to work. The time left stays in the closed notch. Pause or reset at any time. For a one-off reminder, use a countdown or the stopwatch instead. ##### Options Setting | What it does | Chime | Plays a sound when a phase ends. Mute it for a silent timer | Next phase | Starts the next work or break phase by itself, or waits for you | Settings → Focus | Keeps the apps you choose out of the way during work phases | #### Calendar and to-dos Your Google Calendar in the notch, with the next meeting one click from joining, and your Google Tasks on Home. On the Mac, Apple Calendar connects too. ##### Connecting Google Calendar - Open Settings → Calendars and choose Google Calendar. - Sign in to Google in your browser and allow access, then return to Syllo. - Choose which of the account's calendars to show. Add more Google accounts the same way; each stays separate. On a Mac, Apple Calendar connects from the same page once you allow access to Calendar. ##### In the notch - The Calendar tab lists your events from every calendar you chose. - Before an event starts, the notch shows it with a Join button when it has a meeting link. Choose how early in Settings → Calendars. - The To-do tile on Home shows a Google Tasks list: add a task, or tick one off without opening a browser. Events and tasks go straight between your computer and Google and are never sent to Syllo's servers. Remove an account in Settings → Calendars at any time. #### Notes, tasks and reminders Markdown notes, a task list and reminders in the notch. Notes can live in an Obsidian vault or, on the Mac, in Apple Notes. ##### Notes - Write in Markdown with a formatting row and keyboard shortcuts. Headings, links, quotes, tables, highlights, strikethrough and checklists render as you write. - Pin a note you use often, or give it a global shortcut so it opens from any app. - The launcher searches your notes. ##### Tasks - Add a task, edit it, and mark it done. Clear completed tasks when the list gets long. - Give a task a due date, an optional time, and low, normal or high priority. ##### Reminders Write the reminder and choose when it comes back. When it does, mark it done or move it to later. ##### Where notes are kept Choice | How it works | Syllo | Notes stay in Syllo on this computer. Nothing to set up | Obsidian vault | Notes are Markdown files in a vault folder you choose, editable from either app | Apple Notes (Mac) | Notes live in a Syllo folder in Apple Notes after you allow access | Set this up in Settings → Notes. #### System Monitor What's using your computer, grouped by app and by project, with a history and alerts. ##### Apps and processes - Every app with its processes. Search, pin, and sort by CPU, memory and disk use. - Before you quit or force-quit an app, Syllo shows which processes will close and what they're using. - Processes and ports your coding agents start are grouped by project, including ones left running after a session ends. Docker and Podman containers show their ports and use. ##### History and alerts - Keep readings for 30 days up to a year, with charts, the biggest users by hour and daily network totals. Export CSV or delete the history. - Set limits for CPU, growing memory, and disk or network use that lasts too long. Mute an alert until tomorrow or for good. ##### Readings and hardware Put CPU, memory and network numbers or graphs in the notch, the tray tooltip or the Mac menu bar. The hardware page shows graphics, memory, battery health and charge rate, temperatures, fan speeds and what's keeping the computer awake, where your computer reports them. Readings it doesn't report are marked unavailable. #### Using the tools together Each tool is useful alone. This is one way to set them up so they share the work. ##### A setup to start from - In Settings → Features, switch off what you won't use. Fewer tabs make the notch faster to read. - Put the tiles you check most on Home: next meeting, focus timer, Shelf and agent usage. - Add Downloads as a watched folder in Settings → Shelf. - Connect your coding agents in Settings → Coding agents. - Switch on Window Snap and pick a layout for your usual screen. ##### Which tool for which job You want to | Use | Carry a file between apps | Shelf (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#file-shelf) | Reuse something you copied | Clipboard (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#clipboard-manager), or # in the launcher | Open or find anything by name | Launcher (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#app-launcher) | Make a file smaller or change its format | Transform (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#file-converter) | Show someone what you mean | Capture and Studio (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#scrolling-screenshot) | Tidy a cluttered screen | Window Snap (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#window-snap) | Keep track of a thought or a to-do | Notes and tasks (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#notes-and-tasks) | Work in blocks | Focus timer (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#focus-timer) | ##### An example A bug report arrives with a screenshot. Drag the screenshot to the Shelf, press Ctrl Alt Space, press Tab and ask Claude Code to look into it in the right project folder. Start a 25-minute focus session while it works. When the notch says the agent is waiting, allow the test run from there. Once it passes, record the fix with Capture, trim it in Studio and send it with an encrypted link. #### Plans and your account Every plan includes every tool and update. They differ only in how often you pay. ##### Plans Plan | Price | Billed | Monthly | $4.99 | Every month | 6 months | $25 | Every 6 months | Yearly | $50 | Every year | - Cancel any time from your dashboard. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. - You can ask for your first payment back within 14 days. - One account works on Windows and Mac, on one computer at a time. - Sign up or log in with your email and a password, or choose Continue with Google. For anything else, send a message from Support (https://trysyllo.app/support/). Settings → Troubleshooting in the app shows what works on your computer and can fix missing message pop-ups. ##### Questions Can I use Syllo on more than one computer? Your account works on a Windows PC or a Mac, one computer at a time. Signing in on another computer signs the first one out. Is there a free version of Syllo? No. Syllo is $4.99 a month, $25 every 6 months or $50 a year, and you can ask for your first payment back within 14 days. #### Dynamic Island Apple's name for the pill at the top of newer iPhones that shows ongoing activity, such as a timer, a call or the song that's playing. ##### On a computer People use "Dynamic Island for Windows" or "for Mac" to mean an app that brings the same idea to a desktop: a small panel at the top of the screen that grows when something happens and opens into controls. Syllo is one of these apps. It draws its own panel and doesn't install any Apple software. ##### Questions What is a Dynamic Island? Dynamic Island is Apple's name for an interactive area on supported iPhones that shows alerts and ongoing activity. A desktop app such as Syllo provides a similar expanding panel for computer tools. #### Notch The word means two things on a computer: the camera cutout at the top of a MacBook display, and a software panel that sits in the same place. ##### The camera cutout MacBook Air and MacBook Pro displays have a black cutout for the camera in the middle of the menu bar. macOS leaves the space around it empty. ##### A notch app A notch app puts that space to use, or draws a notch where there's no cutout, such as on a Windows PC or an external display. Syllo is a notch app for both. #### Try Syllo on your desktop. Every tool on Windows and Mac. Ask for your first payment back within 14 days if it isn't for you. For music, check your actual player and the controls it exposes. These are documented Syllo workflows. A shared feature name does not establish that another app handles the task in the same way. We make Syllo, so we've said where another app is the better pick. #### The short answer Syllo is an option for music, files, conversion, clipboard history, screenshots and coding agents in one Windows notch, with an Apple Silicon Mac version under the same account. For a Windows-only island with notifications, a file tray and widgets, compare Notchify. For a widget bar, compare DockBar. Windows 10 and 11 have no Dynamic Island of their own, so you need an app either way. #### What makes a good Dynamic Island app for Windows - Small until it matters: the closed notch stays out of the way and only grows for a song, a timer, a download or a meeting. - Any monitor: most PCs have no camera cutout, so it should draw its own notch, on one display or all of them. - Reads Windows media: following the Windows media controls means Spotify, YouTube Music and browser tabs all show. - Useful when opened: files, clipboard, screenshots and notes are what make it worth opening every day. - Gets out of games: it should hide in full-screen apps and in the apps you choose. - Keeps files on your PC: conversion and background removal should run locally. #### Windows notch apps compared App | Runs on | Price | Known for | Syllo | Windows 10 and 11 (x64), Apple Silicon Macs | $4.99/month, $25/6 months or $50/year | Music, file shelf and offline conversion, clipboard, capture, notes, launcher, Window Snap and coding agents | Notchify | Windows 10 and 11 | Microsoft Store, free trial | Music, notifications, clipboard, file tray and widgets | DockBar | Windows | Paid; see Steam price | A modular widget bar | #### The best notch app for Windows, by what you need If you want | Choose | Files, conversion, clipboard and screenshots in the notch | Syllo | Claude Code, Codex or Cursor progress at the top of the screen | Syllo | The same notch on a Windows PC and a Mac | Syllo | Notifications, weather and battery in a pill | Notchify | A widget bar rather than a notch | DockBar | Something free to try first | Notchify's Microsoft Store trial | A Windows on Arm (Snapdragon) PC | Not Syllo yet: check each app's store page | #### Syllo workflows and tradeoffs ##### Move a file from one app to another In Syllo, drag a file from File Explorer onto the Shelf, pin it for the current task and drag it into the destination app. File actions open supported local conversion and compression tools. Notchify also advertises a file tray and clipboard history; compare the specific actions you need in its feature list (https://notchify.app/). ##### Keep a coding task visible Syllo's Agent tab follows supported sessions and permission requests, using your own agent sign-in. Your agent provider's subscription is separate. Start with the agent setup guide (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#coding-agents) if this is the main reason you want a notch. Tradeoff: Syllo requires an account and a recurring plan, and it has no Windows on Arm build. A trial, a different price model or Snapdragon support may matter more than the number of tools. Syllo is a subscription, from $4.99 a month. - You only want notifications or weather at the top of the screen, and none of the tools. - You use a Windows on Arm PC, which Syllo doesn't support yet. Setup and Windows-only features are in Syllo on Windows (https://trysyllo.app/docs/#dynamic-island-for-windows). On a Mac as well? See the best notch apps for Mac (https://trysyllo.app/best-notch-apps-mac/). #### Questions What is the best Dynamic Island app for Windows? It depends on what you want from it. Syllo is an option if you want a notch with desktop tools, with music, a file shelf, offline conversion, clipboard history, screenshots and coding agents, on Windows 10 and 11 and on the Mac. If you want a Windows-only island with notifications, clipboard history, a file tray and widgets, compare Notchify too. What is the best notch app for Windows 11? Syllo, if you want more than a music widget: it draws its own notch on any monitor and opens into files, clipboard, capture, notes, a launcher and window snapping. It also runs on 64-bit Windows 10. Is there a free Dynamic Island for Windows? Some Windows notch apps on the Microsoft Store are free or have free trials, so check the store for current prices. Syllo is paid, at $4.99 a month, $25 every 6 months or $50 a year, with a 14-day refund on the first payment. Does Windows 11 have a Dynamic Island built in? No. Windows 11 has a media flyout and a Widgets board, but nothing that sits at the top of the screen and grows with what's happening. You need an app such as Syllo for that. #### Sources and scope Written by Ray, the developer of Syllo. Syllo workflow descriptions cover version 1.2.0.
